The silent movie is, for the vast majority of audiences, even those that have serious interests in films, the pariah of the movie world.
In fact, the late silents are pretty incontrovertably superior in technique to almost any sound film made in the first four or five years of the sound period.
There are still many people alive who saw silent films when they were the only game in town, but they are getting older and older, and their world recedes daily from the world of today.

I figure this: it's a really funny movie so who wouldn't like it - plus, everyone has seen the picture of Harold hanging from the clock, so they maybe won't be "scared" to see the movie.

As the number of video game-to-film adaptation moving into production increases daily, Silent Hill screenwriter and co-writer of Pulp Fiction Roger Avery has updated his blog with a few bits about the upcoming adaptation of the horror series to the big screen.

Silent Hill is currently tentatively scheduled for a 2006 release.
