Nova was seen in one episode (episode #5) of the 1998 animated series "The Silver Surfer"!
To avoid confusion with Galactus's herald named Nova (Frankie Raye), who made frequent appearances on the show, the Richard Rider version of Nova was given the name of Supernova.

IGN: The Dirty Dozen Starring J. Michael Straczynski
Comics: Fantastic Four (monthly), a Silver Surfer miniseries, Dream Police (graphic novel, June), The Book of Lost Souls (September)...
Before J. Michael Straczynski (known as JMS in online circles) created the science-fiction TV series Babylon 5, he paid his dues in writing for series ranging from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to Jake and the Fatman.
Since the end of B5 and cancellation of its spin-off, Crusade, JMS has kept quite busy, creating the recently resolved Rising Stars, running the Showtime series Jeremiah, penning a lengthy (and controversial) run on Spider-Man, and preparing to take on the "World's Greatest Comic Magazine."

The Golden Age Batman comics were gayer than the TV Series.
My favorite comic is definitly Ultimate X-men, but my favorite charactor is the Silver Surfer.
I have been a bit out of comic-reading lately, but Ultimate X-Men reads like a GREAT action movie, every episode is cool (I recommend getting the paperbacks instead of the monthly series, so you don't have to wait for the cliffhanger of one issue to b solved in the next one).
