	Silverio Pérez - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Silverio Pérez (born July 18, 1948) is a Puerto Rican known TV figure with a taste for "Puerto Rican" music, having at his name some known compositions like the Danza dedicated to the island of Vieques:"Isla Nena" and many others.
		On October 31, 2005, Perez was operated, having a cancerous tumor removed from his prostate.
		Until then, Perez had been fairly successful from hiding his illness to the Puerto Rican public.
