Sima Zhao - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sima Zhao (司馬昭) (211-264), courtesy name Zishang (子上), was the son of chief military strategist Prime Minister Sima Yi of Cao Wei, during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history.
Sima Zhao's involvement in his father's coup d'etat against the regent Cao Shuang in 249 is unclear.
Sima Zhao then summoned Cao Huang (曹璜, whose name was later changed to Cao Huan), the Duke of Changdaoxiang and a grandson of Cao Cao to the capital to become the emperor; by now, Empress Dowager Guo was powerless to speak further.

Sima Shi embarked on a series of raids and campaigns against Wu and against the non-Chinese people of the north, but he achieved no breakthrough, and by 254 the emperor and supporters of the Cao family were threatening his authority.

Confucius is described, by Sima Qian and other sources, as having endured a poverty-stricken and humiliating youth and been forced, upon reaching manhood, to undertake such petty jobs as accounting and caring for livestock.
Sima Qian's account includes the tale of how Confucius was born in answer to his parents' prayers at a sacred hill (qiu) called Ni.
Sima Qian's account also provides background on Confucius' connection to the early canonical texts on ritual and on music (the latter of which was lost at an early date).

In Sima Qian's history (chapter 63) it refers to immortals; in Liu Xiang it refers to Laozi and Zhuangzi.
Philosophical Taoism emphasizes various themes found in the Dao De Jing such as "nonaction" (wu wei), emptiness, detachment, the strength of softness (or flexibility), and The Zhuangzi such as receptiveness, spontaneity, the relativism of human ways of life, ways of speaking and guiding behavior.
This means that they should only act when necessary and their actions should not be felt directly by the people, nor should they be visible to the people.
