Born on June 28, 1978 and raised in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, this 5-year member of the Canadian Davis Cup Team knew nothing about tennis until he was 11 years old when he saw a match on TV and asked his parents about the sport.
Less than 10 years later Simon was ready to turn pro and, in 2001, achieved a world ranking of 260 in singles and 150 in doubles before knee tendonitis took him out of the game for nearly 3 months.
The highlight of his doubles career was beating the number one players in the World, Nestor and Stolle.
