Chess Master, Ed Urquhart, E_URQUHA@tuna.stmarys.ca, gave a simultaneous chess exhibition for the general public at the Chapters Bookstore in Halifax on Sunday, March 15, 1998 at 12:00 noon
The Nova Scotia Chess Association and local chess clubs had information for the public at the exhibition on organized chess and chess books.
The Nova Scotia Chess Association is the official body that coordinates organized chess on a regional basis in the province of Nova Scotia.

This is a virtual exhibition, simultaneous with the real one, of photographs by Andrew Davidhazy currently installed at the Club Fotografico de Mexico, in Mexico City.

 Exeter News-Letter Local News: Expert chess player at weekend exhibition
Master chess player Bart Gibbons played 13 simultaneous chess games with players ranging in age from 7 to 60, who had come from as far away as Haverhill, Mass., for a chance to play against a nationally ranked player.
In a simultaneous exhibition, an expert chess player competes against many people at once, stopping at each board to make a move and then moving on to the next player.
The chess exhibition was attended by some of the Seacoast’s best chess players, including Tyler Doherty, 11, of Newfields, a highly ranked U.S. Chess Federation player who was anxious to see if his mentor, Mike Sullivan, director of the Greenland Public Library, would win or lose against the expert.

A simultaneous exhibition or simultaneous display (often abbreviated to "simul") is an event where one player (commonly a chess master or grandmaster) plays multiple chess games at a time with selected players (usually below master strength).
In such displays, the exhibitor does not look at any of the boards, but retains all the moves of the games in his or her head.
The opponents are supplied with board and pieces in the usual way, but their moves are communicated verbally to the exhibitor by an arbiter or intermediary.

We were there to play in a simultaneous exhibition against Atillo Turzo an International Master.
Atilla Turzo is from Hungary like the Polgar sisters and Peter Leko We had a great time chatting while playing our games.
