  Myanmar History - King Sinphyushin
(A.D. King Sinbyushin, was the third king of the Alaungpaya, or Konbaung dynasty in Myanmar.
Sinbyushin's most important single project was the subjugation of Siam (now Thailand).
Myanmar aggressiveness in the Shan states, Laos, and Chiang Mai (then the capital of the kingdom of Lan Na) led the emperor of China to launch four expeditions against Myanmar in 1765-69, all of which were defeated by Sinbyushin.

There is alos a fillar of inscription which records the aneritourious deept to King Sinbyushin feaced in the North-west corner of the stupa.
Usualy the whole week is devoted to the celebration of the pagoda festival, because a great number of pigiams from all peerts of the country come over to that festival.

In 1763, Sinbyushin son of Alaungphaya ascended the throne and rebuilt Inwa as the capital of Myanmar.
The capital did not last long, in 1782 Bodawphaya moved to the capital to Amarapura.
