		SINERGY take a lot of crap from the American press, and to this day, metalheads see the band as a glorified side project rather than a legitimate creative force.
		On their first album, it seemed as though SINERGY were trying to capitalize on the success of bands that combined metal music with vocals that were anything but.
		It allowed Goss to adjust to her new role as lead vocalist, and on the next album, she was able to sing with the power and confidence that the stronger material needed.

		The first incarnation of SINERGY was composed of them, bassist Sharlee DAngelo (from Arch Enemy and Mercyful Fate), drummer Ronny Milianowicz and by then unknown guitarist Alexi Laiho (from CHILDREN OF BODOM).
		The debut album Beware the Heavens was recorded in 1999 and had a basic concept: returning to the essence of woman-fronted metal bands, throwing aside the operatic elements introduced in the 90's and bringing back the style of singers such as Doro Pesch (from Warlock).

		Periodically we have a "Sinergy is a street level game" phase, fixers get sent with a whole list of low-level jobs, of which maybe 5% will get picked up by the players and maybe half of which will be mentioned in their downtime.
		I don't think Sinergy is a "Street level game", it's certainly not "kibble punk" and making it so would require a lot of people to retire their characters.
		sinergy comes across as very numbers focused which means it looses it's role play and interaction plot edge which can be the sign of a shallow game.

	Problems facing SINergy
		In a nutshell, SINergy needs to be approached as if it were a professionally written roleplaying game, ideally with multiple supliments.
		Right down time, personally I've always had big issues with the style of "downtime" used by sinergy, but as I said this is simply my pesonal opinion and preferance, I like the more interactive, story telling than the numerical one used.
		I don't feel the current methods assists any story telling or plot continuity but I do know the reason for the refs deciding on this method was in order to cope with the large player numbers.
