Singapore, Jan 18 (PTI): India and Singapore on Monday signed an accord for carrying out joint army exercise in India next month.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding signed by Indian High Commissioner Alok Prasad and Chief of Army Desmond Kuek, the exercises would be held from February 11 to April 5 and would involve armour and artillery units from both armies.
Singapore had recently conducted its inaugural bilateral exercise with the Indian Air Force in October last year, while the Singapore Navy conducts regular exercises with the Indian Navy, it said.

Singapore's Army has introduced a new Battlefield Instrumentation (BFI) system to enhance its soldiers' battlefield training through experiential learning, marking a significant shift in the way soldiers are trained, said a statement released by the Ministry of Defense on Wednesday.
The statement said the system has been fielded in Army training and evaluation exercises since June, and it will soon be introduced to all Army training institutes.
According to the statement, the recorded data can be replayed in a post-exercise review to allow soldiers and ground commanders to review their performance and improve their battlecraft.

Operation Thunder Warrior is an artillery live firing exercise that has been conducted by the Singapore Armed Forces at the Waiouru Army Training Group training area annually since 1997.
This year, around 500 Singapore personnel are involved in a two-week long exercise.
