Topic: Single column magazine

  Spartanburg SC | GoUpstate.com | Spartanburg Herald-Journal
A double column magazine (also referred to as double stack magazine) is a magazine in which cartridges are stored in two side-by-side stacks, offset by half a cartridge height and resting against one another.
Firearms which are older (or designed to be small) may use the simpler single column magazine where cartridges are stored in a single column in the magazine box.
The magazine was prone to misfeed the cartridge since the lips deformed from the stresses of holding back so many rounds due to the tight springs required to exert enough force to overcome the friction generated by the guide walls.

Deatheredge is gone, but Andy is still smack dab in the middle of the magazine (at least he was in the last issue I received).
As for your decision to move away from his type of column, I've always felt that opinion columns like Andy's were for the 'thinking' people that Macs generally appeal to, and that the purely technical magazines were for all the dry, humorless Wintel people I know.
I haven't looked at that magazine in years becasue I thought it was geared towards generally computer illiterate newbies.

The single-pixel image can be used as a vertical rule between columns in an article by specifying the HEIGHT attribute of the tag to be the same as the pixel height of the particular column.
There is no simple way to find the exact pixel height of a column, but using 85 pixels per inch as a start, you should be able to get a pretty good match.
