 Singles
Singles, a spirit-of-the-times film from the heart of 1992's Seattle boom, provided a fairly engaging focal point but didn't distract from cuddling with the Mrs.
If there is a saving grace to this film, it's the natural charm of its players and the appearance they give of caring about what they're doing.
Presumably, the action in Singles begins on June 15th, the first sunny day of summer and ends on September 10th, the last sunny day before the rains return--in a drought year.

He also confessed: "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen." In subsequent years, Crowe would also direct the insightful Singles (1992) about Seattle twenty-somethings searching for romance (in the film, Campbell Scott jokingly admitted to Kyra Sedgwick: "I was just nowhere near your neighborhood").

Many romance-laced period films have been adaptations of the dialogue-rich, socially-observant, and satirical novels by 19th century novelist Jane Austen (1775-1817), including these appealing films and their over two dozen mini-series versions, BBC films and TV movies - not to mention stage productions.

Her career was briefly revived by the release of a ''Greatest Hits'' album in 1992.It contained all of her hit singles, as well as three new recordings, and reached number one in the UK.
Her follow up album, ''Enjoy Yourself'' (1989), continued in the style of its predecessor, and with several hit singles, became another success in the United Kingdom and Australia.Critics who were confounded by her first success, became hostile in light of her second album and began to discuss her limitations as a performer.

Grunge music - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the media's spotlight, grunge became part of the pop culture, most notably being a major part of the 1992 film Singles, which featured several grunge bands.
Similarly, the media would view grunge as a whole culture, assuming it to be Generation X's attempt to create a culture similar to the hippie counterculture of the previous generation.
An interesting case of this superficiality backfiring on the media was the grunge speak hoax, which caused The New York Times to print a fake list of slang terms that supposedly were used in the grunge scene.
