	Double album - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		A double album is an audio album of sufficient length that two units of the medium in which it is sold (especially records and compact discs) are necessary to contain the entirety of it.
		A single LP had two sides, each of which could be no longer than half an hour, however, not unlike the bitrate/filesize quality relationship with modern digital music storage, having less recorded on one side of a record allowed for the greater sound quality of what is being recorded (thus one sacrifices quality for space).
		Despite this criticism, many double albums are met with praise or seen as classics some time after their release such as Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II of Guns N' Roses, released in 1991.

		As well as pre-releasing singles to radio stations, most UK releases from major labels since the 1990s are launched at a very low price in their first week with a much higher price afterwards, to encourage as many people as possible to buy it simultaneously and thus achieve as high a chart position as possible.
		In addition, while before the 1990s, the first single from an album was released several weeks in advance of the album, today singles are typically released one or two weeks before the album's release.
		The American duo Gnarls Barkley made history by releasing "Crazy", which became the first UK number-one single based solely on downloads (this was allowed by the UK singles chart only because a physical version of the same single was due for release shortly afterwards, downloads with no physical release are still forbidden from charting).

		Singles were often issued contemporary to the album but containing none of the album's songs.
		No songs dropped from the double album were considered for the single album.
		I also sort of considered the film songs to be separate from the "album tracks." The group seemed to regard their album stuff seriously but the film as a throwaway...at least until they saw it.

		I don't really see a reason to by single albums unless it has B-side or a remix.
		There's no such thing as a 'single album' in this context, other than a single-disc album, which makes no sense in this thread.
		If the single offers nothing that I can't get from an album, then I generally won't buy one UNLESS it's a song I like from the radio and I don't trust the artist enough to fork out for the full album.

	Backing Up A Single Album \| Gallery
		Due to a glitch in one of my albums (when I was uploading with Gallery Remote, it kind of froze while uploading), my top ten pictures page doesn't work anymore; however, if I tell the top ten pictures page to bypass the glitched album, it works perfectly.
		Is there any way to find where the glitch is at in the album, or is the best thing to do is simply to delete the album, and reupload all the pictures?
		I am sure that you can just save the folder/directory with all the .dat files, .lock and *.jpg and you should be able to restore the whole folder/directory.
