Founded in August 20, 2004 by one of the leaders of the Chinese Underground Church, SINIM's plan is to partner with the Back to Jerusalem (B2J) Fellowship by serving as the training ground for Chinese missionaries, and making B2J the sending base for missions.

Sinim means "great land of the south" and was translated as Australi in the Latin Vulgate of the bible.
Australi is latin for "great south land" which indicates that it was known in those ancient times that a great southern land existed.
