| | Telegraph | Sport | Racing: Sinndar retired to stud |
 | | SINNDAR, who earned a place in racing history as the first horse to win the Epsom and Irish Derbys, in addition to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, has been retired and is to stand at his owner the Aga Khan's Gilltown Stud in Ireland, at a fee of IR£30,000 next year. |
 | | In that race, Sinndar travelled well, behind his pacemaker Raypour, until the home straight, and when taken into the lead by jockey Johnny Murtagh, the colt galloped on, establishing a sizeable break on the field and then repelling the late challenge of Egyptband. |
 | | For the sake of racing, and the racegoing public, it is sad that Sinndar will not be seen in action again, especially as the appearance of Montjeu (whom he defeated into fourth place in the Arc) is expected to boost the attendance on Saturday's Champion's Day at Newmarket. |
