		The Sins of Thy Beloved was formed in November 1996 by Glenn Morten Nordbø, Arild Christensen and Stig Johansen.
		The Sins of Thy Beloved is often compared to other scandinavian goth metal bands such as Theatre of Tragedy or Tristania, mainly because of the typical combination of a female soprano voice with male death grunts they use.
