Flood situation in Sirajganj deteriorated further as the water level in the river Brahmaputra near Sirajganj recorded rise at 6.
Road Communication between Sirajganj district headquarters and Kazipur Upazila headquarter remained suspended as a breach developed at Shimanto Bazar on the road.
The Rangpur district administration has not started official relief operations so far as the situation is fully under control, the officials said.

Sirajganj, a town in northern Bangladesh is known for making traditional clothes, but someday it may also be known as the place where women first called for equal status with men on local councils called Union Parishads.
The women came to Sirajganj by boat, bus and mini taxi, some alone, others balancing infants on their hips with older children and husbands in tow.
More than 200 of them, all members of Union Parishads in Sirajganj district, met recently in a forum to unanimously elect Kousar Parvin president, with a mandate to pursue equality.

Former home (interior minster) Mohammad Nasim had left a rally for his party, the main opposition Awami League, and was returning to his home in Sirajganj district on Saturday when the attack took place, they said.
One of Nasim's party colleagues, Abdul Kuddus, 45, was hacked and stabbed to death and 10 people were wounded in the assault in the northern district, Nasim's wife, Laila, told Reuters.
