Republic of Uzbekistan is situated at the following coordinates: 41 degrees of northern latitude and 64 degrees of eastern longitude.
Two large rivers flow through the territory of Uzbekistan: Amudarya and Sirdarya that spring from the outside of the country.
However, Amudarya in its lower part of flow (1,415 km) is within borders of Uzbekistan, and Sirdarya being the second river by water-bearing is within borders of our country in its middle part of the flow (2,212 km).

 Tajikistan Geography
Kuramenian range and the mountains of Mogoltau have the height of 320 to 500 m; the left shore part is between the river and the foot of Turkistan range, rising gradually to the south up to 1000 m.
It is located between Chatkal and Kuramenian ranges and the mountains of Mogoltau, from the northwest between Turkistan and Alayski.
The height of Fergana hollow changes from 320m in the islands and the rivers of Sirdarya and up to 800-1000 m.

The main goal of introduction e-government in Sirdarya province is to improve activity of the state governing and management bodies based on ICT as well as to better a quality of relations level between Government and society.
That presentation was held at the Khokimiat of Sirdarya province and was participated by representatives of Khokimiat, Communication and Information Agency, UNDP project “ICT Policy”, “Technoserve A/C”, “UzInfoCom”, “Sirdarya Telecom”, “UzNET” and other structures.
It also was noted that this project was the first one not only in Uzbekistan but also in Central Asian region, that is why a realization of the project will result in distribution of e-circulation in the whole of Uzbekistan in future.

 Uzbekistan highlights
The river of Sirdarya flows all across the valley taking numerous tributaries on its way.
Once only accessible for drainage waters leaking from all over the Djizak Steppe occasionally drained into a huge saline-soil concavement, since summer of 1969 it became constantly receiving the waters of Sirdarya river that would overflow the capacity of Chardarinskaya Reservoir to gradually fill up this natural concavement to create a lake.
A lot of delicious fish had been introduced to the lake, which nowadays works as a source of industrial fishing.

 Power
Talimardjan power plant, the largest heat power plant in Central Asia, with a designed 32,00 MW power is currently under construction.
The Sirdarya hydro power plant project is reckoned to be the first direction for improvement of equipment efficiency and fuel economy.
The main goal of the project is that reconstructed units must achieve designed 300 MW power productivity having lowered fuel expenses to 330 g/KWH.

ANKARA, 1 Dec 2005 (IRIN) - New trials connected with the May uprising in the eastern Uzbek city of Andijan have started in Uzbekistan, with 58 people charged with terrorism, religious extremism and other serious crimes in four separate closed court hearings, the country’s Supreme Court said on Thursday.
The trials are closed due to concerns over security in the courts in the capital, Tashkent, and in central Sirdarya province, the Supreme Court said in a statement.
The statement, which came one day after strong criticism by the international rights watchdog, Human Rights Watch (HRW), said “defendants are charged with premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances, committing acts of terror and other grave offences”.
