Sister Souljah was quoted as saying, "If fl people kill fl people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?", a statement that Clinton condemned as incitement to violence.
Sister Souljah has denied that charge, claiming that the Post quoted her out of context.

Sister Souljah was born Lisa Williamson in 1964.
In the early 1990's, Souljah released an explosive politically charged album entitled '360 Degrees of Power', which she described as "an amalgamation of all of my thoughts, personal, and professional experiences here in America." As a legitimate voice for Black America, Souljah declared that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Souljah's debut novel has been described by critics as a tour de force of Black English and underworld slang, and is said to be as finely tuned to its heroine's voice, as Alice Walker's "The Color Purple".

This isn’t to say I’d ever recommend Souljah for a speaking engagement, because some of the other lecture topics on her website look a little scary to me, but it does suggest to me that perhaps she’s changed some from her earlier years of blaming the white man for everything.
If Souljah is on the right path in terms of promoting the power of the individual by teaching that the individual himself is in charge of his own destiny and not the government - then I wish her much success.
