		The film takes this initial premise and develops it far beyond the scope of the con into a social commentary between the relationships and imaginary boundaries people seem to thrive on in order to maintain a feeling of social and economic class differentiation.
		That is not to say that I think Paul's character is an innocent man, but he is a mirror to the other characters in the film much like the use of the two sided Kandinsky painting in the film is symbol of all of the characters and actions in the story.
		Personally, I think there is a lot more to see and discuss in "Six Degrees Of Separation" than can be typed in an ordinary DVD review and I think that perhaps the rest should be left for the audience to discover too rather than lecture on as if this were a term paper.

		This wonderful film is about in part spoilt children and the huge gap that exists between them and their parents - or at the least the horror the parents experience when the children mirror their values.
		In this fine film, Paul (Will Smith was BORN to play this role) brings joy to the people her interacts with and actually changes the life of some, especially Mrs Kitteridge.

		(In "Six Degrees" it is interesting and telling that it is the gay member of the set that serves as the crossover person, the means by which Paul can make his more profound crossover.
		As a comment outside the movie, it's my opinion that the class system is kept inexorably in place so that the wealthy might never have human relationships as equals with those whose labor they exploit, so as to avoid the pangs of conscience about benefiting unjustly from their labor.
