		Six Flags Great Adventure is an amusement park in Jackson Township, New Jersey, 74 miles from New York City, 67 miles from Newark and 60 miles from Philadelphia, not far from the New Jersey Turnpike, consisting of a theme park area, a Wild Safari area, and a water park called Hurricane Harbor.
		Late in 1977 the park was purchased by Six Flags who gradually added their standard rides such as the looping coaster, the wooden coaster, the pirate ship, a rapids ride and drop towers.

		Previously Mark Shapiro has admitted that many elements within Great Adventure still need work to bring the park up to the new higher standards, and it’s notable that the newly appointed GM is coming from one of the six “No Touch” parks that Shapiro set as an example for the rest to follow.
		The passengers were all safely evacuated from the train and according to a statement from the park posted to GA Insider, the cause is unknown, but the train itself suffered some damage and the ride will remain closed until inspectors have determined the cause and cleared it to reopen again.
		Certainly Six Flags has made it known that Great Adventure needs some work done to clean up the park in some areas and making a new themed land is one way of doing it.

	Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure
		It is simply an awesome ride, with great hills, speed and g-forces in the flat spin in the middle (which starts at the bottom and spirals UP, seemingly getting faster as it rises).
		Nittro is a great ride the drop is breath taking and its long about 4 minutes if they added about 1 inversion this ride would be past 10 but i give it 9.5/10 or just a 9.
		Great ride, worth the wait (which even though it looks long isn't bad, from under the NITRO sign its only about an hour if everything goes right).
