Infact, I'm not going to beat around the bush, I hate this ground, there is not one ground that I hate visiting as much as this ground, it is so incredibly bland, quiet and mind numbling crap that I'd rather travel to watch Lincoln play in the Shetland Islands knowing that we'd lose 5-0.
The trip to Sixfields is a relatively easy one and locating the ground is also fairly easy.
There was a single Northampton fan in a shirt from 1996 or something like that (and this was on both times that I've visited Sixfields) and he didn't actually watch the match or anything, he just kept trying to taunt the away fans.

The Sixfield Stadium is on one of those out-of-town estates that includes places like TGI Fridays, Frankie and Bennys, McDonalds, BK and a UCG Cinema.
Sixfields is around 3 miles out of the centre of town, just off the A45 (Upton Way) heading west and towards the M1.
I live in a place called Duston which is near to Sixfields and well signposted, park anywhere in Duston Main Road behind the Co-Op for example and have a 10 minute walk to the ground.

We went back to the Council and reminded them that their promise was that the Sixfields re-development would be speeded up, and not just the Core Strategy.

I'd read about the huge hill at the North end of the ground, but you really have to go there to see how big it is. After taking a few pictures of the ground from up there, I went down and around the outside.
Its an interesting ground, the West Stand is modern, with its glass frontage and looks especially impressive, whilst the two ends of the ground are identical, in being quite small and predominantly made of concrete and breeze blocks, which despite looking a bit cheap up close, from a distance do look quite attractive.
The rear of the Alwyn Hargrave Stand is hidden by the athletics stadium, which is adjacent to Sixfields.

The planning application will be considered by the West Northants Development Corporation and provided that all the people with an interest in the land agree to the plan, it could well be passed at that time if no other interested party, such as landowners, object.
In other words the Borough Council have not held up the project and Conservatives deplore the misleading information promoted by other Parties for their own political purposes, which has given a totally inaccurate picture of the situation, even suggesting that the matter would be delayed until 2011.

We are playing some open, attractive, exciting football and winning matches yet the last time we were in Division 2 we were struggling to score goals and win games but the average gate was over 6,000.
Filming takes place at Sixfields all day on Monday and Tuesday and anyone who would like to be part of a crowd scene is welcome to attend although we would ask all supporters to bear in mind that only limited numbers can be included and there could be long periods of waiting around.

The station is a long walk (1.5 miles) from Sixfields but fortunately most buses departing the stop just over the road from the station go to Sixfields - check with the driver first.
Car Parking at Sixfields used to be easy, unfortunately the developers have got to the area and what was open land is now an all-shopping, all-eating complex and they don't care too much for the football fan.
The pubs on the Sixfields site don't like fans wearing away colours, and if you do get in they are incredibly busy on match days.
