  Josef Terboven - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
He moved into the Norwegian crown prince's residence in Skaugum and made the Stortinget (Norwegian parliament)'s buildings his headquarters; Nazi authorities proclaimed the end of the monarchy 25 September 1940, changing the name of the state to Norway until the legal Norwegian authorities assumed control in 9 May 1945.
He committed suicide on May 8, 1945 by detonating dynamite in his bunker hideout on the Skaugum compound.
Terboven blew himself up in the company of the body of the commander of the SS in Norway, General Rediess, who had shot himself earlier the same day.

Skaugum was completed in April 1949, and entered service between genoa and Australia.
The company was acting as agent for the Skaugum and her sister ship the Skaubryn, which as you know sank in the Indian Ocean after a fire in the engine room.

The son of the then Crown Prince Olav and of Princess Märtha of Sweden, Harald was born at the Crown Prince Residence at Skaugum, Asker, near Oslo.
The infantry battalion His Majesty the King's Guard are considered the King's and the Royal Family's lifeguards, they guard the Royal residences, including the Royal Palace and the Crown Prince Residence at Skaugum, as well as the Royal Mausoleum at Akershus Castle.
In the British Army, the King is the current Colonel-in-Chief of The Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales' Own Yorkshire Regiment).

12-07-2004 05:32 PM I Norway we just call it Skaugum, and everybody know what it is. But I wouldn't call either a mansion or a residence.
