		Skid's bacame involved with X-Factor after the events of the Mutant Massacre.
		Skids had a long term relationship with Rusty Collins, beginning in their days in the X-Terminators.

		i think for those who don't know skids her force field wasn't like most mutans she could eat wither her force field on and was able to slide and glide on the floor because her force field was frictionless.
		After Blob (I'm sensing a trend here) let this slip, Skids jumped to the weird conclusion that FF personally had the kids, like in their basement or something :p She and Rusty decided to tell the press about this, and Mystique realized that they couldn't be allowed to do that, to protect the government's interests.
		I think Skids was arrested on the grounds of obstructing justice, by preventing them from getting Rusty (by surrounding him with her forcefield).

		I just made a typo in sort of a rushed concept thing to Jeremy and when he drew her he wrote Skids with a z on the title accedentally, and it just sort of got around.
		Between being beaten by her step-dad, being locked in her forcefield for several years, and then having her long-time boyfriend Rusty die, Skids is the skin hunger poster child.

		The tale seems primarily designed to showcase the two new Battlecharger toys from Hasbro, however the plot is still moved on somewhat with Donny starting to feel guilt for turning in Skids, and it looks like he might be on the verge of redeeming himself.

		Every week, I go to the comic book store (Comics Ink at Overland and Braddock in Culver City, CA...hey, Steve and Jason!) and grab a lot of comics.
		This is a brilliant, sweeping, poetic conclusion to a wholly amazing story and I recommend reading this comic as pamphlets or in an inevitable collection, with great interest.
		On the writing side, the issue doesn't conclude, instead it hits the breaks and skids to a stop, meaning that the situation with the uncle doesn't resolve so clearly.

		In 2001, DC released an "Elseworlds" graphic novel, Gotham Noir, wherein JAMES GORDON, instead of rising through the ranks to become police commissioner, is forced to resign from the force under a cloud, and becomes an alcohol-sodden private eye.
		But Gordon is a fallen hero, a disgraced former cop and WWII vet with a busted marriage and a career as a private eye that's heading right into the crapper.
		He's also responsible for such projects as Lowlife (an autobiographical alternative comic), At the Seams, Detour, An Accidental Death, Prez and his contributions to Dark Horse Presents, which have garnered him critical acclaim and nominations for an Eisner award, two Harvey awards and an Ignatz.
