While this sounds like standard RPG stuff (and it pretty much is), Skies of Arcadia had a strange sense of style to it that made the entire experience not only unique, but very enjoyable.
Skies of Arcadia Legends has been described as the "director's cut" of the original game, and this is an excellent way to explain it.
