Hubert Horatio "Skip" Humphrey III is an American politician and member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL).
Humphrey was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 1972 and served as a state senator from 1973 to 1983.
Humphrey is currently the president of the Minnesota chapter of the AARP.

Humphrey was born in Minneapolis and educated at Shattuck School in Fairbault, Minn., and at American University in Washington, D.C. He received a law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and worked in private practice from 1969 to 1982 in Minneapolis.
Humphrey was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 1972 and served for 10 years.
Humphrey was the first attorney general in the nation to challenge the tobacco industry with an antitrust and consumer fraud lawsuit aimed at collecting taxpayers' share of the $470 million in health care costs borne annually by the state of Minnesota.
