The model was then rigged with sprue, weathered and streaked to give the ship the appearance of a sooty coal fired ship that had been on an extended passage at sea for some weeks; no rust, the ship was virtually brand new when she was dispatched.
All in all it was an enjoyable little model to build, the base kit being of high quality and well researched, matching photos and plans as far as I could ascertain and verify well with no errors, merely some omissions and simplification.

The decision to change infantry weapons calibers to 7.92mm and artillery pieces to 75mm to be at par with the logistical train of the German Army had to be applauded.The new general issue rifle,the bolt action Steyr-Mannlicher 1927,was a excellent weapon and in many respects better than the Mauser 98.
The Skoda Works designed 75mm guns was a solid design and their light machine gun,the Skoda-31[2]was also very solid.
