Slatina is a city of about 11.000 people with a trend of further growth, while the natural resources of forests, water and fertile soil present good opportunities for further development of industry, tourism and hunting.

At that point the County government and self-government are re-established, but since 1790 Croatia was subjected to the Hungarian Regency Council and the process of Hungarization began, especially with the introduction of the Hungarian language as the official language.
With the establishment of the Independent State of Croatia in 1941, a provision of the law was passed, and according to it 22 counties were established, which were constituted of districts and communes.
