Slavník's dynasty was related to the Babenbergs, the Přemyslid dynasty, and was friendly with the Polish kings.
Slavnik's heir was his son Soběbor who rushed to consolidate the princedom independence.

Libice emerged in the IX century as a center of Zličan princedom that was governed by the Slavnik family.
Archeological digs began in XIX century show that Zličan’s material culture was highly developed by the end of the first millennium.
Libice was a fortified castle of Slavnik dukes; fortification remains and an old stone church ruins can be found there in present.

Under pressure from another Bohemian family, the Vrshovci, Boleslas II massacres the Slavnik clan, until then second most powerful clan in Bohemia.
Boleslas II dies in 999, and is succeded by his son, Boleslas III.

The first remarkable Duke from Premyslid dynasty was Boleslav I, who came to power after having assassinated his brother Duke Wenceslas (known from an English carol) who later became Saint-Protector of Bohemia.
