Sleepless in Seattle is a 1993 movie, directed by Nora Ephron, based on the story by Jeff Arch.
He and his eight-year old son Jonah move to Seattle but Jonah thinks that his father needs a new wife in order to get his life back on track.
The film is essentially a reworking of the film An Affair to Remember, using both its theme song and clips from the film in critical scenes as well as the critical meeting at the Empire State Building.

Sleepless in Seattle was one of the first and most obvious.
The plot of Sleepless could hardly be more contrived, and the fact that it is plagiarized loosely from the classic An Affair to Remember is not really an excuse.
Tom Hanks, who plays the leading man in Sleepless, is somewhat less wussy than Billy Crystal but also not as funny, and he brings his usual quiet gravitas to a role that hardlydeserves it.

"Sleepless In Seattle" was a fun romantic comedy, and being a classic movie buff, I really loved how they tied in the scenes and story from "An Affair To Remember".
So, unfortuantely they chose to pair "Sleepless In Seattle" with the box office flop "Hanging Up" for this double feature.
My guess is that they threw these two movies together to bank on the continued success of "Sleepless In Seattle" in an attempt to make up for the financial loss that was suffered on "Hanging Up".
