 The Comics Journal: Reviews
“Sleepwalker” is a marvelous evocation of the way unrelated characters’ lives briefly touch each other, and of how people fail to explain themselves to others.
Too often, even supposedly “realistic” comics writing is revelatory in the opposite, Joycean sense, whereby revelation is conveyed through incongruous stylistic shifts or the deliberate accretion of visual detail.
Basil Wolverton’s artwork is one of the reasons that serious comics junkies have always felt an obsessive, addictive, possibly sacramental affection for the medium… and also one of the reasons that people who aren’t into comics aren’t.

Comic Book Resources - CBR News: Kirkman revives Sleepwalker for Marvel this February
In the original series it was established that the first Sleepwalker came from an entire race of beings that all pretty much looked the same, although Kirkman was quick to point out one major difference between the old and new Sleepwalker.
While this new "Sleepwalker" series has been designed so that new readers don't have to be familiar with the original series, Kirkman tells CBR News that his plans for the series will contain elements sure to make the fans who were there for that original series quite happy.
The process Kirkman went through to get in the door at Marvel to pitch "Sleepwalker" and finally get it slotted into their publishing plans was a long and arduous one, but ultimately the writer is excited about the opportunity and looking forward to seeing the book in comic shops this February.

Marvel Team-Up #9 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
Meanwhile, in another part of the city, the Sleepwalker entity encounters the Black Cat during one of its nightly patrols, but it's unable to bring her to justice when its attention is pulled away by a distant explosion.
Plus, the second story has some fun with the Sleepwalker, as it playfully pokes fun at the character's delightfully naive war on crime as I loved that the character actually had to ask the Black Cat whether she was committing a crime.
The art also does some nice work on the second story as the Sleepwalker's power gets a good showing during his brief encounter with the Black Cat, and the scene where he's pulled back into his host is nicely presented by the art.

Religion of Comic Book Characters (esp. Super-Heroes)
It is no coincidence that some of the world's most popular and critically acclaimed comic book writers are the writers who have written the most comic book stories about overt religious themes and openly religious characters.
Comic book writers notable for their regular and insightful use of religious themes in their stories include writers who are Christian, Jewish, Hindu, agnostic, atheist, etc. These writers differ in their religious beliefs and backgrounds, but they are united in their desire to write more realistic, more human, more meaningful stories.
One of the few places in mainstream comics where a large number of major superheroes have been explicitly identified as religious was in Marvel's Infinity Crusade #1 (June 1993).

iFanboy: Most Important Comics of the 90's
I came across this list of the ten most important comics of the 90's, and while this doesn't seem like the most comprehensive list in the world, it got me thinking.
I rolled my eyes at this link but then after reading it and thinking about the atmosphere and the climate of the 90's, this list is pretty damn accurate...I'm impressed by the pick of Harbinger, Valiant had such potential and there was a year there where they were the shit..Shooter's last hurrah as it was.
The list isn't about "quality" comics, it's about "important" and most of those books were the most important comics of the 90s.
