  Behind the Headlines
The Belgrade newspaper Glas Javnosti reports that Vuk Obradovic, Slobodan Vuksanovic, and Dragoslav Avramovic, leaders of the much-vaunted opposition coalition, the "Alliance for Change," along with representatives of the Serbian Renewal Movement and the New Democracy party, met with Western diplomats in the Bosnian Serb city of Banja Luka.
Of course, this assumes that these Serbian Quislings will not be driven from office, through the streets, and clear out of town for collaborating so openly with the would-be conquerors of their own country.
What they want, and who they are, is so disgustingly apparent that it is almost enough to make Serbian support for Slobo seem a semi-rational act – as a radical repudiation of all NATO-crats, both foreign and domestic.

Some representatives of the Democratic opposition suggested some level of cooperation with Mr Milosevic's regime was necessary to help the ordinary citizens of Serbia and to actually strengthen their will to get rid of him.
He will try provoke a civil war if it is possible.
In an interview, Vuksanovic added that, absurd as it sounds, some cooperation with Milosevic could actually strengthen the opposition.

 CNN - Yugoslav media denounce anti-Milosevic rally - August 20, 1999
BELGRADE, Yugoslavia -- The biggest rally against Slobodan Milosevic in nearly three years -- a display in which 150,000 people called for his resignation -- was denounced Friday by media loyal to the Yugoslav president.
The offer appeared to be a last- minute move to deflate the upcoming rally.
But one opposition leader, Slobodan Vuksanovic, said at the rally that fair elections could only be held if the Yugoslav president quit first, "because he doesn't deserve any longer to be in his position."
