Physical cosmology made huge advances during the 20th century, with the model of the Big Bang heavily supported by the evidence provided by astronomy and physics, such as the cosmic microwave background radiation, Hubble's law, and cosmological abundances of elements.
Fundamental to modern cosmology is the well-accepted theory of the big bang, wherein our universe began at a single point in time and thereafter expanded over the course of 13.7 Gyr to its present condition.

For reasonably educated Slovene readers the name Salamun functions as a repository of literary-cultural associations, either originating in reading the author’s better known texts or derived from journalistic, scholarly, or school metaliterature and from the image created by the public media.
However, there might be too little attention paid to the fact that the notion of literature was established on the basis of concrete, highly valued texts, namely, by their processing leading to aesthetic generalizations, normative projections, and phantasms as well as classification.

Maybe this is why post-modernism, with its endless appropriations, came along as something the Slovenes had already understood better, as part of their national fabric.

The recent work of Slovene philosopher Slavoj Zizek will be used in examining the cosmological world-images Dickens and Carlyle formed, in an attempt to describe the indescribable horror and violence of the Revolution.
It is regarded as requiring a complete rethinking of the world's order, in effect demanding a renewed textual construction of a cosmology, embedded in plot-schemes and descriptive tableaux.
Dickens leads back cosmology to the well-known, he shows how the fog at Calais disintegrates in the sunshine and blue sky of England; Carlyle opens and upholds an image of the world as a dark pool of uncontrollable forces.

The entry of Nature in the western (legal) value system, i.e., in the contract of statehood (constitutions) is, as we have shown, conditio sine qua non for an efficient change in the legal order and, in the final analysis, for a change in man's attitude towards Nature.
In relation to the indicated duty, the question arises whether the Slovene Constitution and the Slovene law may have an even broader interpretation, in the sense that the said duty gives rise to the rights of animal and plant species.
First it should be noted that certain ratified international agreements, for example on the protection of individual endangered animal species, forbid their killing.

The new Platonism is an old philosophical system from which originated a specific Weltanschauung, a world-view and sensitivity aimed at disclosing and maintaining the correspondences, the links between ideas, phenomena and human beings.
This wholistic concept of the world and the man, typical for the Romanticism, has been expressed by many of its most eminent representatives in Europe and in Denmark (among others) by H.C. Oersted, a physicist but also well known as a romantic philosopher, through his lectures on cosmology and the spirit of nature.
It is a fact that H.C. Andersen has been deeply influenced by Oersted's book 'The spirit of nature' (1850) and by the idealistic movement called in Denmark organismetanken, directed to co-ordination of everything in the existence.
