The Slylandro are very shy about their "glowy bits" being seen by the human eye simply because it's their reproductive organs.

The probes are programmed to return after 500 rotation (500 rotation mission), the only way out for me would be that the probes with were replicated while on the way start counting at 0, not at the number the replicating probe had a the time of the replication.
Heh, I think the both the Slylandro and the Melnorme made a bit of mistake here: Life would be much simpler if instead of sending a SD code, the would send a code to return the probes to normal operation.

The Mycon are obviously confused,but there is some advantage to this: Imagine a scenario where a particular Mycon lineage with a flaw in it's genetic programmingis allowed to survive by the Purity Monitors.
This particular flaw, not unlike Sullen Plummet's from the Slylandro glaring mistake with the Probe model2418-B, made it so replication of Mycon became as or more important than terraforming worlds for the Creators.
As such, theywould do everything possible to turn planets into the red hot ones that can be found in Mycon space today.
