Both Sides Now Album Discographies Main Page
I started on album discographies because of my interest in stereo (which was mostly on albums, of course), and because there just weren't any good album discographies out there that had the kinds of information I needed.
The info you'll find here was obtained mostly by the "Brute Force Method," which involves getting and listening to the albums when possible, combing original sources of LP listings, looking through used record stores, and the like.
We would also appreciate posting the album discographies of other collectors and researchers (with proper credit given, of course).

Smash Hits was the first compilation album released by The Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1968 in the UK and 1969 in the US.
The UK version first appeared in April 1968, only 4 months after the band's second studio album, Axis: Bold as Love, and while they were working on their third.
Containing their first 4 UK singles (and their respective B-sides) in addition to 4 standout tracks from Are You Experienced, Smash Hits became exactly that - a #5 album in the UK and one that had a long chart life.

The Offspring preserve the essential ingredients of their chosen genre - guitars grinding out three chords, shouted vocals, and plenty of vitriol - and layer them over a melodic base that packs considerable popular appeal.
