  The British Theatre Guide: Fringe 2002 - The Smirnoff Underbelly
Smirnoff Underbelly's programme of theatre for children includes C.S Lewis' classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Pied Piper of Hamlin which Blunderbus perform with life-size puppets.
The Smirnoff Underbelly is beneath the Edinburgh Central Library with entrances on Cowgate and Victoria Street.
The Smirnoff Underbelly triples its number of shows to 58 and the result is a magnificent mix of exciting new theatre, circuses and dance, and an eclectic comedy programme in conjunction with award winning London comedy club, Amused Moose Comedy.

This fabulous one-off set - Bailey's only gig in Edinburgh - was a coup for the Underbelly, who have done a fantastic job at establishing themselves as a fourth force this year with a number of surprise hits.

ADMITTEDLY, player comfort levels were low the night I caught Lucy Porter.
But even factoring in the sheer effort required to concentrate late at night in an especially dank Underbelly grotto, the usually sublime Miss Porter was off her usual mark.
Don’t be confused by the elfin frame, the dimpled grin and the bubbly he-loves-me-he-loves-me-not energy, Porter has many a juicily dark undercurrent running through her material.
