This is the only Pennsylvania example I have found so far.
The bridge appears to be complete, and it stands out in the county as one of the important metal truss bridges that chronicle the evolution of the development and eventual standardization of the technology.
The bridge carries 1 lane of a 2 lane, unimproved township road over a stream in a rural area with scattered, undistinguished late 20th century residences.

The original township was bounded on the north by the Ohio River, on the east by the townships of Robinson and Cecil, on the south by Hopewell township, and on the west by the State of Virginia.
The present boundaries of the township are Hanover township on the west, north, and northwest, Robinson on the northeast, Mount Pleasant on the southeast, and Cross Creek and Jefferson townships on the southwest.
This tract lay on the head-waters of the middle branch of Raccoon Creek, and in the townships of Smith and Mount Pleasant.

Monaghan Township celebrated its 250th anniversary as a Township in 1995.
Some of them came from the Township of Monaghan, in the County of Ulster, and for that reason the name of Monaghan was given to this Township which was laid out by authority of the court at Lancaster four years before York County was organized.
Monaghan Township reached a peak in population in 1880 and then steadily declined.

Henry Smith, the grandfather of our subject, was a native of Westmoreland county, and in 1810 came to Clarion county, locating at Brush Run, Monroe township, where he operated a sawmill and engaged in agricultural pursuits until his death in 1859.
Smith was born May 12, 1835, in Washington township, Armstrong county, a daughter of James and Phoebe (Watserson) McClatchey, who were natives of Westmoreland county, where the father extensively engaged in farming and also operated a saw grist mill.
Smith an ardent supporter, and he has been called upon to serve as school director for the past two years, was constable in Jefferson county for six years, and in February, 1894, was elected justice of the peace, a position he is still creditably filling.

Abraham Herr Smith was born in Manor Township near Millersville, Pennsylvania on March 7, 1815 the son of Jacob Smith, a millwright, and Elizabeth Herr.
An ardent protectionist, Smith was noted throughout his time in Washington as a rigid economist in all government activities; for example, he supported the direct payment of pensions through the Treasury rather than through agents, as had been the previous practice.
Abraham Smith died in Lancaster on February 16, 1894 and is buried in Woodward Hill Cemetery in that city.

It was from there in 1737 that the Bucks County Sheriff, Timothy Smith, supervised the acquisition of additional territory for his county, reaching north of the Blue Mountains to include what is now Smithfield Township.

According to state law, every township trustee is responsible for care and upkeep of abandoned cemeteries within the township's borders.
In Center Township (Delaware County) there are currently three cemeteries which the trustee maintains: Collins Cemetery on the West side of Muncie, Blowers Cemetery which is located near the Crest View Golf Course in South Central Muncie, and Parker-Moore Cemetery located just off Memorial Ave.
