He was so happy to be back in his city to stay for awhile.
So Yesterday is the first book Scott has written since we got together that I've seen move from conception to sitting on the shelves of a bookshop.
So I'm stoked, and not just because I was there from woe to go, not just because it's fabulous, not just because my book will be published by the same imprint, Razorbill, next March, but also because it's Scott's first book to be published in Australia.

Ten years later on March 8, 1976, "Yesterday" was released by Parlophone as a single in the United Kingdom, featuring "I Should Have Known Better" on Side B. Entering the charts on March 13, the single stayed there for seven weeks, but it never rose higher than number 8 in the charts.

 Cool Hunting: So Yesterday
So Yesterday is partly about coming back to the city for the summer of 2003, seeing with fresh eyes the way its pieces fit together, particularly on the levels of fashion and brands and advertising, which cover NY like a second skin.
Thus, So Yesterday is partly a love letter to New York, composed while discovering the city again after an absence, and partly a memoir of those teenage years, when hacking the social order can be a matter of life and death.
Although So Yesterday is set in the here and now, several of my sf writer friends tell me that it’s sort of science fiction, because it’s about secret histories, seeing the world through alien eyes, and Big Changes to Come.

I don’t want to harp so much on Bingo, but I must say that it bothered me that my friends didn’t like his poems because they weren’t any “good.” I go to open poetry readings specifically to see people like Bingo read their poems, and it always makes happy, even when the poems are awful.
