Socceroos have been knocked out of contention at the Confederations Cup after a 4-2 loss to Argentina in their Group A match marred by defensive errors and questionable refereeing decisions.
The Socceroos were fuming over a decision not to award them what appeared a blatant penalty at a vital stage of the match.
Socceroos coach Frank Farina blamed the penalty decision and elementary defensive errors which gifted the Argentines at least two goals for his side's defeat.
