The Natural Law Party was a New Age entity founded and run by followers of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (the founder of the TM movement -- a movement that some have labeled as a cult).
The party ran nuclear physicist John Hagelin as the NLP Presidential nominee in 1992 (ballot status in 32 stares - 39,000 votes - 0.04%), 1996 (ballot status in 44 states - 7th place - 110,000 votes - 0.1%) and 2000 (ballot status in 39 stares - 7th place - 83,000 votes - 0.08%).
Their agenda is much in the style of the Western European socialist and labor movement -- and somewhat similar to that of the late-1990s formed Labor Party (but the NP has more of a controlled growth outlook on environmental issues).

The Communist parties of Europe were already in decline before the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Although these parties contained many militants and cadres sincerely committed to a socialist transformation of society they had long ceased to be the revolutionary parties they claimed to be.
That is why we think it is necessary to build a Marxist tendency or tendencies within new socialist parties, to enrich these parties with Marxist methods of analysis and the lessons of the history of the workers’ movement, to better understand the world in order to change it.

In one crucial decision not mentioned in the corporate-controlled mass media, the Indonesian regime now headed by B.J. Habibie has declared that it will retain its ban on socialist parties and any others that do not conform to the ruling ideology of the Suharto dictatorship.
Only parties that subscribe to the official doctrine of pancasila will be permitted.
Rais has also called for Habibie's government to be given time to stabilise the economy, allowing Habibie and ruling Golkar party figures in the parliament, led by Harmoko, to propose that the government remain in office at least until the end of 1999.

Moroccan "Socialist Union of Popular Forces" (USFP) and Spanish "Socialist Labor Party" (PSOE) signed in Rabat on Tuesday a cooperation agreement on issues of interest to the two countries, the two political parties and the Euro-Mediterranean space.
