The Societas Rosicruciana in America, through Frater Sylvester C. Gould, was derived directly from the older Societatus Rosicrucianae in the United States, which in turn, derived from the English Society.
The Societas Rosicruciana in America was instituted in 1909 and its High Council was incorporated under the laws of the State of New York, September 16, 1912 and since then, has developed a complete system of esoteric instruction for its members.
Today, the Society of Rosicrucians, Inc., or Societas Rosicruciana in America, is composed of Collegiate and Associate Membership groups who are devoted to intensive personal development and spiritual unfoldment through a study of the forces, faculties and capabilities of the human individual, as revealed by his evolutionary progress and status.
