  PEPSI CAN STOVE
The Pepsi Can stove is composed of four parts: three pieces made from soda cans and some foil tape.
The design is largely influenced by the scout soda can stove described by LaMar Kirby and by the Shane Graber stove.
Stove dimensions -- For a larger stove make the top section 25 mm (1 in) high, the bottom section 35 mm (1 3/8 in) high, and the inner cylinder 45 mm (1 3/4 in) high.

 Turbo CatII Stove
A 3oz cat food can may be used; however, the heavy ring at the top of the can will have to be removed so that the bottom cover can be epoxied to the can.
The insulation can easily be formed and compressed slightly after adding the first tablespoon of fuel, prior to the initial burn.
This can be accomplished by placing the stove or windscreen on spacers such as steel hex-nuts.

Zen Stoves - How a Backpacking Stove Works
If your stove is producing a yellow flame, you aren't producing as much heat as you could and may need to make some adjustments, such as repressurizing your fuel, cleaning your stove, changing jet size, adjusting pot height, or increasing ventilation to the stove.
A pressurize petrol burning stove must be constantly fed fuel and may be fed fuel by gravity (tank mounted higher than stove jet), via a pressurized fuel tank (hand pump or self pressurized via thermal feedback), or by a capillary jet or electric pump.
It may also be important to position the jets so that the stove itself is directly exposed to the flames, as the lower the position of the flames, the greater the thermal feedback to the stove.

Ultralight Side-Burner Soda Can Stove (No Pot Support Needed)
This stove is made in such a way that the cooking pot can sit directly on the stove and it can be used without a pot support.

Take the can that will be the top of the burner and cut 8 evenly spaced slits from the rim up the painted side of the can to the point where the paint ends and the can curves to become the bottom.
Gluing the seam to prevent leakage between cans is an important factor in the performance of the stove.

 Review: Lightweight Alcohol Stoves
The stove has one central opening, and then a ring of holes on the sides that can be closed with a rotating sleeve to allow simmering.
In fact, one test of the stove complained that the flames burn too high for smaller cooksets, and that the stove is better suited to larger pots and groups of people.
The ThermoJet MicroLite stove looks like a soda can stove, but's its maker claims a unique combustion chamber/windscreen that "is designed with engineered metering ports that precisely control the amount of air that reaches the fuel" improve it's performance over conventional alcohol stoves.

 The GOYA Stove
The soda can stove can be placed into the socket upside down and used as a base to burn an Esbit tablet.
You can also used the bottom of the upside down soda can stove to hold about 1 tablespoon of gelled methanol that can be scooped out of a can of Sterno, or similar canned fuel, although this is not as effective as using the liquid methanol (dry gas) fuel.
This allows about 1 in/ (25 mm) of clear space between the top of the soda can stove to the bottom of the pot/pan that you are heating.

Questions for soda can stove gurus - WhiteBlaze
As to stove height, well that can be different for a lot of reasons, I basically look at flame pattern for the stove I am building.
I made a can stove without really knowing how, from the top and bottom of a coke can, fit over one another to make a "short" coke can, with holes poked around the diagonal-sloping rim of the can.
I can build that for practically free!" I haven't had a chance to put my stove to the test in the field yet, but I have lit it and boiled water on it outside in 20 degree weather.

Beverage-can stove - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pepsi-brand aluminum cans are often used because they have a bottom shape that lends itself to securing the stove's inner wall, and because of this the stoves are sometimes called Pepsi-can stoves.
The stove should not be re-lit unless it is fully cooled, otherwise flare-ups or explosive combustion (in the case of a pressurized design) may occur.
Unsealed alcohol stoves can be inherently dangerous, since spilling is possible and the fuel burns with a nearly invisible flame.

Converting me from a gas stove user to an alcohol fan wasn't easy, but the Cat Stove did it because it could boil water fast, just like I was used to with gas, but without all the set up and pumping.
I originally was going to call the stove the Turbo V8 Micro, but the new stove isn't made from V8 cans, but grape juice, and the stove really has little in common anymore with the original V8 that AYCE has on his site.
