		Components in a SW architecture can be identified at different levels of abstraction, and the components identified at these different levels may not be in one-to-one correspondence.
		It may be possible to derive properties of configurations of components from the properties of the component parts and the glue holding components together.
		Component software is one name for this trend popularized by the Microsoft component object model COM, often loosely referred to as OLE with a growing number of OLE-centric specs, e.g., OLE DB, OLEtransactions.
