Sohrab is one of those whose works give you something new if explored again with washed eyes.
Many have mentioned that Sohrab had great love for Buddha, which is true.
Sohrab has clearly admitted to be a Moslem, a Buddhist, and a Christian; although the latter is not well-known to the public (at least as far as I know).

 Sohrab's Way
Sohrab was born in 1928 to an aristocratic family, landed, but perhaps somewhat in decline, from Kashan, an ancient city between Tehran and Isfahan in central Iran.
Sohrab was actually born on a journey, in Qom, where his mother was travelling between Tehran and Kashan.
Sohrab's father was a daftari, a literate, office-working person; he was also a craftsman of the traditional tar or lute and thus enlightened in a prevailing religious atmosphere.

However, the work of Sepehri is representative in that it is, in fact, far more highly organized metrically than might be supposed from our own memories of ballyhoo about 'vers libre' on which T.S. Eliot was pronouncing, already definitively, in 1917.
Sepehri revised his work extensively throughout his life and grappled with form as a painter as well as a poet.
Sepehri's tone is habitually one of ambiguity, of delicate imprecision, which to an extent is abetted by the language itself.
