	Soka, Saitama - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Situated in the southeast corner of Saitama Prefecture, Soka is surrounded to the east by the cities of Yashio, Misato and Yoshikawa, and to the west by Kawaguchi.
		Soka, once a peaceful agricultural area surrounded by water and greenery, lies in the Nakagawa-ayase basin, an area referred to as the Nakagawa-teichi district.
		On November 1 of the 33rd year of the Showa Era(1958) Soka was incorporated as a city with a population of 34,878.

		Saitama Prefectural Police said the 25-year-old victim of the attack told them he ran away from the men to a police box in front of Soka Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line during the incident on the evening of July 14, but the assailants chased after him and dragged him away.
		SOKA, Saitama -- Police officers who stood by idly while yakuza dragged out a man who had fled into their police box for safety and brutally bashed him later colluded to try and cover up the incident, Saitama Prefectural Police sources said.
