		MONTREAL — Seven solar blasts that shook Earth's upper atmosphere last year set records for extreme space weather, according to a panel of solar scientists.
		Large bursts of electrically charged solar particles pose the greatest risk to those satellites, says Lloyd's Simon Clapham, and luckily the Halloween storms did not set records in that regard.
