Let’s get the most newsworthy tidbit out of the way first: Yes, dc talk does reunite, at least momentarily, on a song on tobyMac’s second solo album, Welcome to Diverse City.
And, yes, the track—a remix of “Atmosphere,” which appears with different vocalists earlier in the album—sounds just like something left off of Supernatural, the last album dc talk did before entering extended hiatus around the turn of the millennium.
Unlike his dc talk compatriots, Kevin Max and Michael Tait, Toby has remained musically close to the group’s urban roots.

That's doubtful, but after they've just released a greatest hits album and a teaser for their upcoming solo projects, I don't think we'll see a bona fide dc Talk album for quite a while.
That's not to say I don't enjoy the rest of the music, but after hearing how great dc Talk can be over the past few years, it becomes readily apparent why they need each other when they go it alone.
In a way, it's also comforting to see that none of the three is able to be dc Talk without the other two.

 Jesusfreakhideout.com: tobyMac, "Re:Mix Momentum" Review
The most successful of the dc Talk solo careers is undoubtedly Toby McKeehan's "tobyMac" solo efforts which have already spawned a full-length record, a Christmas EP, a DVD, and now a remix album all since the Fall of 2001.
Re:Mix Momentum is a worthy appetizer to tide the fans over for the next helping of musical greatness from tobyMac, but it will only make listeners hungrier for something new.
The Beatmart take on "Momentum" is a worthy re-invisioning and "Do You Know" is given a huger sound that elevates the track yet sometimes feeling as if it doesn't mesh as well as it should.

The depth and maturity of this album makes me wonder if this is how dc Talk would have sounded if they hadn’t eschewed their hip hop roots.
While TobyMac’s sound is unique, it also includes influences from the Beastie Boys, Sugar Hill, Arrested Development, and Busta Rhymes; it speaks to the world Eminem is speaking to.

Momentum was the last solo album to come out from the three members of DC Talk.
This is one of the louder and faster songs on the album and Toby is screaming most of it, but in the verses he slows it down a bit and sings in his smooth and somewhat laid-back voice.
It's pretty hard to believe after listening to this album that Toby is almost forty years old (he's thirty-eight now, but he made this two years ago when he was thirty-six).
