The 5×5 board is weakly solved for all opening moves [3].
On 8x8, 10x10 and greater boards the game is strongly supposed to be a draw.

Maybe the article should be moved to solved games but I don't really see much of a problem with its current title.
Board games are only a small subset of abstract games, so this article is more about the latter than the former.

This game has myriad rules covering all this stuff--a rule, that is, for all fifty things on that economic worksheet and then some--and they all interact in intricate ways.
The only other game that has ever lost me at the rules-reading stage was Norsemen, and my suspicion is that Battlelines is a significantly simpler game.
Board wargames generally are all variations on a theme--which is good, but there's something to be said for a different approach from time to time.

The horse game is nearly finished, Im working on the competition logic now and finished all of the menus a while ago (new ones snuck up of course).
It fixes all the problems we had reported with the game, which is pretty damn nice for me as it takes that worry off my mind.
After dling them (which is pretty annoying anyway with their free server theyre on that keeps putting pages in between the files) and un-zipping them, then un-raring (to download.com we go...) I discovered they didnt bother to include all the files.
