The capital of Somaliland is Hargeisa (A city in northwestern Somalia).
Somaliland is trying to declare independency but without Sanag and Sool it is lacking in the land needed to make the state economically viable.
Somaliland borders Djibouti (A country in northeastern Africa on the Somali peninsula; formerly under French control but became independent in 1997), Ethiopia (Ethiopia is a republic in northeastern Africa on the Red Sea; formerly called Abyssinia) and Puntland (additional info and facts about Puntland).
