Sombrero, also known as Hat Island, is the northernmost island of the Lesser Antilles.
Except for the staff of Sombrero lighthouse, the island is uninhabited.
The surface of the island is rough, and vegetation is sparse, but Sombrero is an important breeding island for seabirds, especially for Brown Boobies, Brown Noddy Terns, Bridled Terns and Sooty Terns.
