		Songs About Jane is the debut album by Los Angeles rock/pop band Maroon 5.
		It was released in June 2002 and by the end of 2004 it had reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 charts.
		Songs about Jane had also eventually topped the UK and Australian album charts while "Harder to Breathe" had made the singles charts in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

		For me, Maroon 5's Songs About Jane is packed with enjoyable R&B-infused radio-friendly tunes but the song that really gets me is the broody ballad She Will Be Loved.
		A too-romantic song that stands out amidst the playful songs about the woes of love that make up the rest of the CD, there is an unrestrained melancholy in She Will Be Loved that makes it very different from the other songs in this CD.
		As well-crafted as the songs on Songs About Jane are, they become very painful to listen to once radio gets hold of them and plays them to death.

		The song is a mix of biting guitar licks and popping rhythms, driven mostly by drummer Ryan Dusick.
		What's most unfortunate about this record is that the band truly sounds different, but they fall into the same trap that oh so many bands have fallen into of late.
		The ONLY cool part of this song is the breakdown with the horns, and even that doesn't last long enough.

		Admittedly this song didn't catch my attention too much, but then "She Will Be Loved" was soon released and I loved it.
		Looking at my CD collection, "Songs About Jane" looks slightly out of place amongst the rest of the bands I usually listen to, but something about this album just really appeals to me. It's full of sweet love songs that'll put a smile on your face, as well...
		Apparently, the whole album is about vocalist Adam Levine's relationship with his girlfriend and muse, Jane, and to appreciate the songs you do have to make the effort to listen to all the words.

		All songs are good in their own way and they have shown that they are not a one song pony with notable's been the Sweetest goodbye from Love actually and the sublime This Love with some awesome guitar moments in Harder to Breathe and this Love.
